Guaraguao (In Production)

Guaraguao (Film Project) is a visual mixtape that journeys across time and geography to explore the layered identity of Boricuas throughout the diaspora. Guided by the spirit of the red-tailed hawk—a symbol of expanded vision and perspective—the film traces cultural memory from Puerto Rico to key diaspora cities including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and beyond.

Through commissioned works from 21 artists across 7 cities, the film weaves together image, sound, and story to illuminate the intersections of history, migration, and community. Guaraguao is both a recognition and a reimagining of Boricua identity—honoring ancestral roots while capturing the evolving cultural expressions shaping the present.
